Seit der vierten Weltfrauenkonferenz in Peking im Jahr 1995 hat die Welt wichtige Fortschritte in der Geschlechtergleichstellung erzielt, die das Leben von Frauen und Mädchen weltweit verändert haben. Das ist zwar ein Grund zum Feiern, der Widerstand wird jedoch stärker.

Daher haben sich UN Women Deutschland, die Botschaft von Kanada in Deutschland und die Bundesstiftung Gleichstellung zusammengeschlossen, um die Fortschritte seit der Verabschiedung der Pekinger Erklärung und Aktionsplattform zu überprüfen und eine Plattform zu bieten, um mögliche Lösungen für verbleibende und neu aufgetretene Lücken zu diskutieren.

Wir laden Sie herzlich ein, an unserer Internationalen Konferenz „Beijing+30: Delivering for all women and girls” mit nationalen und internationalen Expert*innen teilzunehmen: Am 14. Oktober von 14 – 18.30 Uhr in der Botschaft von Kanada in Deutschland in Berlin. Die Konferenzsprache ist Englisch.

Um Ihre Teilnahme zu unterstützen, bieten wir eine Kinderbetreuung für Kinder ab drei Jahren an. Bitte geben Sie bei Ihrer Anmeldung an, ob Sie diesen Service in Anspruch nehmen möchten, und nennen Sie das Alter Ihres Kindes/Ihrer Kinder. Bitte beachten Sie, dass die Anmeldefrist für Personen, die eine Kinderbetreuung benötigen, der 28. September ist.

International Conference „Beijing+30: Delivering for all women and girls“

Since the 4th World Conference on Women in Beijing in 1995, the world has seen important progress in gender equality that has changed the lives of women and girls across the globe. While this is cause for celebration, the pushback is growing stronger.

Therefore, UN Women National Committee Germany, the Embassy of Canada to Germany, and the German Federal Foundation for Gender Equality have joined forces to review the progress since the adoption of the Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action and to provide a platform to discuss possible solutions for closing the remaining and new gaps.

We warmly invite you to join us at our International Conference “Beijing+30: Delivering for all women and girls” for an in-person discussion with national and international experts on October 14^th, from 2-6.30 p.m. at the Embassy of Canada to Germany in Berlin. The conference language will be English.

Please register until October 5^th. Registration is obligatory. Due to limited seating capacities, early registration is advised. To support your participation, we offer childcare services for children aged three and older. Please indicate your need for this service and provide your child(ren)’s age(s) when you register. Please note that the deadline for people who require childcare is September 28^th.

Conférence internationale „Beijing+30 : agir pour toutes les femmes et toutes les filles“

Depuis la 4e Conférence mondiale sur les femmes à Beijing en 1995, le monde a connu des progrès importants en matière d’égalité des sexes, qui ont changé la vie des femmes et des filles à travers le monde. Bien que cela soit une raison de se réjouir, les résistances se font de plus en plus fortes. C’est pourquoi le Comité national allemand pour les femmes des Nations unies, l’ambassade du Canada en Allemagne et la Fondation fédérale allemande pour l’égalité des sexes ont uni leurs forces afin d’examiner les progrès accomplis depuis l’adoption de la Déclaration et du Programme d’action de Beijing et de fournir une plateforme pour discuter des solutions possibles afin de combler les écarts restants et nouveaux.

Nous vous invitons chaleureusement à vous joindre à nous lors de notre conférence internationale « Beijing+30 : Delivering for all women and girls » (Beijing +30 : agir pour toutes les femmes et toutes les filles) pour une discussion en personne avec des experts nationaux et internationaux, le 14 octobre, de 14h à 18h30, à l’ambassade du Canada en Allemagne, à Berlin. La conférence se déroulera en anglais.
